About the Author

Dottie Wintterle has been an educator for more than forty years, specializing in elementary education. She came to Guam in 1969 as a teacher with a two year contract with the island and it’s people, and has made Guam her home. Dottie is still a local storyteller. She likes to travel, read, and play bridge. She has a daughter, a son, five grandsons and two granddaughters. She would like to educate this story to grandpas everywhere.
