This Thing Is Personal is a book of poetry filled with the author´s thoughts, emotions, circumstances, love, joy, pain, and everything in between. The author pours out her soul, tears, and fears on each page. The purpose of this book is to make the reader feel. Whether that feeling is happiness, sadness, love, or pain. You will experience the author´s life through her own words, in her own way, and "feel" who she is and relate.

About the Author

Shawnese Herlong is a single mother of two, Eric: 6 and Kaylan:3. She is of the Apostolic Pentecostal faith which means that she has been baptized in Jesus’ name and has been filled with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues. She has resided in Alabama most of her life. Her greatest accomplishments in life are her two children. Shawnese is passionate about writing poetry. This book is her first of many to come.
