About the Book

Quests in Time Summary Throughout our lives, our morals and behaviors are shaped by the hard lessons, pain and emotional losses as well as triumphs, which we endure. This novel is about a man’s life, which has been shaped by horrible losses, and painful lessons, in a time long forgotten by modern day. As a young boy, Tragel’s life was thrown into a horrific turmoil. His behaviors illustrated by the hard lessons he was forced to learn. At an early age, his life is launched headlong on a deadly course of vengeance. However, fate has a way of changing dramatically a man’s morals and behaviors. His future was changed by the kindness and patience of one influential man. As he learns to trust Respree, the elderly Chieftain, his entire path is set onto another course, a course of strength, compassion, leadership and fatherhood. His journey is known as ‘Quests in Time, A Journey of Adventure’. This journey shapes and builds this young man from a frightened angry boy into the Grand Chieftain; the greatest hunter-warrior that his age has ever known. Follow along on his journey as he begins to remember the events that led him to the point of becoming a leader to many peoples in a time of evil and greed. His journey takes him from the lands he has lived in since he was rescued by the Chieftain Respree. No one has journeyed very far from this valley, and Tragel’s quests open the door for adventure, travel and freedom from oppression and evil. But, one has to ask the question, will we ever be free of these things?

About the Author

Born on May 9th, 1953 in Lincoln Nebraska as a Mother’s day gift, with one older brother, Michael. My mother and father divorced when I was five, and in the next 12 years I was moved around extensively. I lived in Nebraska, Kansas, Colorado, Arkansas, Wyoming and back around a time or two. Getting a strong schooling was difficult because we moved about every six months. My stepfather passed away suddenly in 1969, when I was just 16. In the next 7 years my mother married and divorced 6 more times. After his death, I went to school in the mornings and worked a full time job in the evenings, living basically, on my own. I was married in 1973 to a woman I knew for six months. In 1974 I enlisted into the military, got my GED and so my career in the military began. As an Infantry, Air Assault Soldier, I traveled to every continent of the world. It was during this time in the Army I picked up the nickname Crazy Jack or simply ‘CJ’; because I accepted missions that others would not.
