About the Book

This story is about the exciting morning activities of a basset hound dog and a daring squirrel. It´s based on a true story and captures the natual habits of these two amazing creatures. Both Sandy and Mr. Squirrel are challenged by each other every morning. They bring excitement to each others day. Even though they are different kinds of animals, they are, in a strange way, friends. They play chase with each other, just like kids do. Watching them was an inspiration to put into a story with the pictures that could best describe the way it was really happening.

About the Author

I am a forty three year old, proud mother and grandmother. I have always enjoyed writing as a hobby wrote poetry. This is my first published children’s book and I am proud to have it printed for young readers. I also sometimes enjoy drawing, so that was an inspiration to do my own illustrations. I am excited to be a part of being able to catch the attention of young children through a story. As a parent, I know just how important reading can be to a child. I hope to help open more interest to read, with this book.
