About the Book

Everything can be summed up in the very first poem of this book called, “The Budding Flower.” In a garden of flowers one stands alone. That night it blooms and with the bloom comes knowledge that none of the other flowers have. Later the flower finds out it is a rose and in full bloom. When the gardener cuts the rose it begins to die. As each petal falls a new story is told. When combined these twenty two poems tell a grand tale of feelings and memories. With real life events and occurrences this tale is much in the same fashion of the future novels written by this author. Enjoy.

About the Author

Jason Johnstone was born at Great Lakes Naval Hospital just outside Chicago Illinois. For his first year he lived in Gary Indiana. Later the family moved to Traverse City Michigan where Jason lived and was schooled his whole life. From a young age Jason wrote stories for his amusement. Only recently did his work showed merit. These unique stories have roots in his actual life and when combined with fictional events a startling new form of story telling was created. One thing is for certain when reading the author’s work, expect the unexpected.
