About the Book

Linda is the story of a pretty young girl from the mid-west trying to survive in New York City after her parents die. The ciry molds people who linger long. Soon cynicism and wariness encroach and chip away at her youthful naïveté. She despairs of ever fi nding a life long companion in the city, where everyone’s primary concern is a career. After an unremitting series of failures, Linda takes a job as a waitress and later as a maid for a rich couple on Park Avenue, where she gets an idea that revives her hope for a much better life.
