About the Book

This story tells about a very lucky man, JJ. JJ worked construction from the time he graduated high school till he won the lottery. Then he decided he was going to retire and move to Florida so he could fish all day everyday. When he got down there, the first thing he did was buy him a yacht to use as his fishing boat. Then he bought a house on the Gulf coast. When he asked some of his former work, hunting and fishing buddies to come down to help him do some remodeling, they ended up in business together. The only trade JJ knew was construction and that’s what they went into. Before long, he was working all the time and seldom had time to go fishing or hunting. He met a beautiful young woman and they married, but he had numerous affairs along the way. Eventually, he did settle down but it was a little hard for him to do, there was alot of temptation along his path. As the construction business grew, JJ tried more and more to get out of the rat race of the big city. It hit him the hardest when he went to look at a ranch in Texas, he visited a small town there that was very laid back and easy going. He fell in love with the area. He found a problem there that he could be a bit of an antidote for, and be a big helping hand in another area at the same time. He used his construction workers to help him with the endeavor. JJ was no Saint, but he was a very goodhearted person who loved life his own way. Almost everyone that knew him, admired and loved him, he was a very special, kind and generous person. He had a few skeletons in the closet, but very few people don’t.
