About the Book

“The Garden of Life is the Garden of the World” is a short story depicting different people that crossed her path in life. It tells how people can enrich their lives through the blessings they bring each other and how we are all connected in the Garden of the World. This book serves as an inspiration to the reader to go forth in life and never give up no matter how difficult life may seem. For no one walks alone!

About the Author

Bernadette A. Pabon was born on February 10, 1946. As a young girl Bernadette was placed in many foster homes throughout Chicago with her younger sister Hedda. With only her little sister by her side her faith in God grew stronger after each passing day, giving her strength to continue. As a teenager she aspired to become a Sister Servant of the Holy Heart of Mary while studying in Beaverville, IL. Her studies at Holy Family Academy inspired the work she would do for the Archdiocese of Chicago for over thirty years as a catechist at St. Marks, St. Aloysius, and many other parishes. Bernadette also served her community as the Director of Religious Education at Holy Rosary Church in Chicago. After many years of service and dedication to her community and church Bernadette was presented an award by Cardinal Francis George, the Archbishop of Chicago. Yet, one of her most rewarding achievements was facilitating youth retreats to help the youth understand the great love that God has for them.
