About the Book

This book reflects a personal look at the Lott, Gates, Morgan and Addison families. It simply tells the stories of family members as they progress from the 1800’s to the present. Starting from a young slave girl named Sallie Jordan, this book lists all of her descendants. Although some family members are not accounted for, we have included many photos and stories from then and now. Enjoy your travel back in time!

About the Author

Thomas J Addison, one of Sallie Jordan’s great grandchildren, was born in West Point, Mississippi and raised in East Chicago, Indiana. He is the father of three and grandfather of 6. Tom’s goal is to show chronologically how our family stayed together from the 1800’s to the 21st century. He actually started taking notes in 1964 from his parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles concerning our family history. It has taken many hours of time and research to verify the stories that were given to him. His hope is that the younger generation will take the leads from here and continue to keep records of our families. Tom’s strong faith in God has lead him to pray that this family continues to grow and move forward in love, and to keep our faith and trust in God.
