About the Author

MESHEL J. Pommells was born and raised in Jamaica West Indies, the second child of Rose and Keith Pommells. Ruth, had high hopes and dreams as she entered the United States over 17 years ago but fell into the welfare system, divorce, homeless and left to raised four small children. She had to force her way out, with her strength and faith in God. She completed her degree at Monroe College and also attended Lehman College for a few semesters. She continues to write songs, and is presently completing her second book. She lives in the BRONX, NY with her family.
