About the Book

My Soul Also Speaks Book 1 is a compilation of poems written to stimulate thought on various topics, including many of life’s joys and challenges. The deeply-felt emotions experienced by many and exhibited in these poems are interpreted and expressed from the writer’s analytical perspective.

Each poem has been written so that the reader can easily understand the language of the poem, further enhancing his personal interpretation. The cadence of each poem, as well as the poetic flow of each verse, takes the reader to a realm beyond the reality of the moment, allowing him to feel the depth of the writer’s poetic soul.

About the Author

Georgia Tribett Reed was born in Chicago, Illinois and attended both elementary and high school on the city’s South Side. Inspired by her elementary school English teacher, she developed an appreciation and love for poetry, writing some of her earliest poems at the age of twelve. Her poems reflect the times – homelessness, poverty, war, the environment, etc. – those things that affect the human spirit. My Soul Also Speaks is a compilation of those poems, as well as many newer ones, that will soothe your soul, rekindle the embers of your heart and stimulate your mind.
