About the Book

My Forever Home: A Child’s First Book of Yoga is the story of nine-year old Geneva Grace who is dealing with moving away from the only home she has ever known. She finds her way by connecting her own inner voice. Along the course of the story she is guided by the wisdom in nature and she learns yoga postures, asanas, by imitating the creatures in her environment. Trusting her instincts, she eventually finds her home inside herself. This book hopes to teach yoga organically to children of all ages.

About the Author

Writer: Corinne Corcoran, Ed. D. has taught wholistic health for over twenty years. She is certified in and has taught reflexology, Ayurveda, Reiki, Therapeutic Massage, Applied Kinesiology, and Energy Medicine at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center’s School of Wholistic Studies in Collingswood, New Jersey since 1992. Corinne feels that there is not enough attention paid to children’s needs when discussing and utilizing wholistic modalities. My Forever Home is her attempt to fill that void. She is also a singer-songwriter and has a CD out entitled “Portrait in the Moon.” Illustrator: Kristin Bodine is a fine artist and illustrator from Washington Township, NJ. She graduated with her BFA in Fine Arts from The College of New Jersey in 2004. After completing her undergraduate degree, Kristin attended the prestigious Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia. She attained her Masters Degree in 2007, and sold several paintings at the school’s 106th annual student exhibition that year. Currently, Kristin is an active artist in the South Jersey area.
