I am a retired Aeronautical Engineer with 10 years in commercial aviation and consider myself well qualified to write a book on the subject?? Having lived and worked in many foreign countries, with diverse ethnic groups and enjoyed the experiences. My academic achievements warrant a more than average command of the English language, as communication is the basis of all commerce, especially in the high technological subjects, such as aeronautics. As a thinking person, which most engineers are, I have a wide spectrum of interests, from aviation to ufology and natural history. I am certainly a student of the world in its widest context and can converse on many academic subjects from physics to thermodynamics. Prior to my civil aviation profession, I served with Her Majesty’s Royal Air Force from 1955 to 1966, two years of which were spent in the Republic of South Yemen I presently reside in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, with my wife, my dog, three cats and a Quaker parrot. I relish walks on the beach and walking in general and Friday nights dancing at the Elks Lodge. As an ex-patriot from Britain I spent many years playing rugby and cricket and thoroughly miss the camaraderie and social intercourse which both games afforded me. My wife is a retired CNA but sometimes assist aging, sick and infirmed people, when called. She is also a first rate cook and keeps me fit and well, with a healthy diet and tireless attention.
