“Courage for the Soul” is a collection of 40 inspirational poems. Crystal speaks on many subjects such as physical and sexual abuse, drug addiction, suicide and death with such poems as “A Killer’s Plea” and “Love Affair.” There are inspirational poems as well such as “Believe” and “Smile Again.” Although Crystal hasn’t personally experienced many of these subjects in this book, she knows others have. “Courage for the Soul” speaks to any situation that you may be faced with. If you have experienced any hardships in your life, this book is for you! Be Blessed!

About the Author

Crystal Waters was born on April 18, 1982 in Canton Ohio. Her parent’s instilled in her a love for God by taking her to church every Sunday. That love for God has carried Crystal through many challenging times in her life. She was born with a birth defect called Spina Bifida. But, in no way does that stop her. “I’m determined to carry out the destiny that God has set for me,” says Crystal. Crystal is a first time author and a local playwright. Crystal has written and directed such stage plays as Courage to fly, The Gift and her upcoming stage play, The Affair. She began writing poetry in 2003 just out of boredom. But then after a job had ended the Lord speak to her and put down in her spirit a desire to want to encourage others through spoken word. That is when the journey to write Courage for the Soul began. Crystal’s first stage play was inspired by her first poem that she had ever written called Courage to fly. Even though Crystal has a passion for theater , her first love is the spoken word. It is so powerful and she feels it deep in her bones and heart. Courage for the Soul is just the beginning for Crystal as an author. She is currently working on “A Living Testimony, The Crystal Waters’ Story,” which is an autobiography and also a collection of short stories inspired by her stage plays. In the Spring of 2011 she will produce her third stage play, which is titled “The Affair.” Her hearts’ desire is to encourage and touch the lives of many through Courage for the Soul. “I have a deep compassion for those that are hurting and I just want to be used by God to encourage their lives,” says Crystal.
