Will Wheeler and Dave Kirby are two former Vietnam helicopter pilots who were recruited into the newly established DEA after their military enlistment ended in 1972. Wheeler’s wife and Kirby were killed by a Drug Syndicate which included several corrupt DEA Offi cers who worked hand-in-hand with both Kirby and Wheeler. About the Author
Jim Weaver was born in 1941 in Dallas, Texas to an uneducated and hardworking sharecropper’s family. At the age of six, his father left the cotton fi elds of West Texas and entered into the oil fi elds of the same area. From dirt-fl oored shacks to houses with wood fl oors and, sometimes, bathrooms, the family’s life was changed forever. Constantly on the move and attending over twenty different schools in Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico, Jim dropped out of high school at the end of his junior year and entered the United States Air Force for a four-year hitch, obtaining his GED the fi rst year of his tour. After serving three years in Europe, Jim returned home and back to work in the oil fi elds, then drifted into the sales fi eld, where his light shone brighter. He ultimately married and raised three children and worked thirteen years with wife, Anne, and daughter, Kristi, as the most popular family band in Dallas.
