About the Book

No matter who you are today there is a poem in this book that will touch your heart. Sometimes in life we find ourselves in situations in which there seems to be no hope. We sometimes feel like prisoners in our own bodies and feel as though everything around us is crumbling. I truly found that true hope, love, peace, joy etc., comes from God. I decided to look unto Jesus the author and finisher of my faith. Poetry For The Soul is a book filled with heartfelt poems designed to encourage, strengthen, motivate and much more. I hope this book will be as much as a blessing to you, the reader, as writing it has been to me. Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. ~Hebrews 12:1-2~

Leslie M. Savage has been writing for several years. Her first poem was published in 2007 in the book Famous Poets of the Heartland. In addition to writing poetry Leslie enjoys writing and performing in plays that she also writes. Leslie has an Associate degree in Business Technology.
