About the Book

He should sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will pause to say, here lived a great street sweeper who did his job well.” -Martin Luther King Jr. Emperor Li has led his kingdom in China for many years with wisdom and grace. However, he soon realizes that he has no one to take the throne. He plans to test three of his greatest workers to decide who should be his successor, yet he may discover that the most qualifi ed person to lead his kingdom turns out to be the most unlikely one of all. Join Emperor Li as he searches for honesty, responsibility, and compassion amongst the workers he thought he knew well.

About the Author

Nikki Ziegler has been writing since she can remember. Though she never thought that she would become a published author, especially not in high school. The Emperor’s Helper is her fi rst children’s book, but through this process she has discovered a passion for writing and fi rmly believes that this book will not be the last. She based this book on Matthew 25:40 and Luke 16:10. Her vision is to write children’s stories that will encourage integrity and responsibility in the next generation. She lives in Colbert, Washington with her 5 siblings and her parents and is currently a senior at Mt. Spokane High School.
