About the Book
Over the years is a collection of poems written in four different countries in two
different continents between the years of 1993 and 2000. Due to the subject
matter, the collection could also be subtitled War, Poverty, Life and Love.
Two poems were composed virtually on the same day, as the residue of anarchy
and war crystallized into thought-provoking moments. Poverty, an ugly part of man’s
destiny, continues to baffl e and embarrass humanity, especially when it exists in the
midst of plenty.
As two themes, love and nature, tend to walk hand in hand, the middle of February
gave me the right time to express heartfelt sentiments related to both. Likewise, in some
verses, life and love are inextricably connected as food for thought.
I hope readers will join me in this emotional journey – from the painful fi rst hand witness of
anarchy and wanton destruction, through joy in simply living and loving, to exhilaration
in nature’s rich and beautiful bounty.
