About the Author

Delia Ross was born in Greenwood, MS. on August 19, 1978. At the age of two, her family moved to Nashville, TN. There she grew up in and around the music and entertainment business. As a young teenager, she began to explore writing poetry. At the young age of 22, she decided to join the Army, where she worked as a Medical Specialist. Having got to travel all over the world, she really picked up her passion for writing while living in Germany. At 23, she went to Iraq in support of Iraqi Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom while working as a medic. Her unit, the 21th Mobile Army Surgical Hospital was the first United States Army Hospital established in Iraq in March of 2003. Her medals in the Army include the Army Achievement Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Army Superior Unit Award, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and Army Marksmanship Award. Delia is committed to helping other people and is earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. She currently resides in Springfield, Missouri with her daughter Isabella. Additionally, Delia enjoys photography, writing music and playing guitar with her daughter. She continues to write poetry and prose.
