About the Book

Kentucky Summers with Uncle Billy is a non-fiction book of memoirs recalling the author’s family visits to Kentucky during the 1940’s and 1950’s. It emphasizes the fun times and the continuing relationship with her uncle, only four years older.

Sandra and her family left Kentucky while she was an infant. Growing up as an “only child” who lived in various states and attended many schools, her visits with family and Uncle Billy in Corbin, KY, were an important and constant factor in her life.

This book recalls “simpler times” and offers some laughs and a few lessons in life.

About the Author

Sandra Cummins Schrader resides in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, outside of Philadelphia, with her husband Richard. They have two grown children and two granddaughters. Sandra is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University. She taught Business Education for several years at Manor College. She has also had marketing positions. During the last ten years, Sandra has spent much time doing genealogical research, all of which she has made available on the internet.
