I was born “on the bayou” at Theriot, La. on July 26, 1925. Attended Elementary School there and High School in Houma, Louisiana. Veteran of WWII and a graduate of University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Louisiana in June, 1949 (B.A.). Taught in the Middle Schools for one year. Afterwards, worked as a draftsman. Received M.A. (cum laude) from Middle Tennessee State University in 1992. Mental Health Counselor thereafter. Retired in 1986. I’ve been a practicing watercolorist since age twelve and a painter in oils since 1944. I started writing in 1947 and pursued this avocation seriously since 1995.
