About the Book
An Atheist´s Handbook describes the "Who, What, When, Where, Why and How" of the author´s transition from religious believer to religious nonbeliever in a logical, philosophical and easy-to-read fashion. It should be required reading for everyone who does or does not believe in God.
A companion piece to this work could be Plastic Man: A Novel of the Sixties, also by Dan Culberson, which is a serio-comic story about college life at the University of Colorado in Boulder and which symbolizes the decade of the Sixties and has been called "the pefect novel for Baby Boomers" in one review.
A work of self-discovery and cultural analysis, the novel employs three different time schemes: The present describes the protagonist´s journey after dropping out of college following a personal tragedy and hitchhiking from Colorado to California, the past describes his memories of his mostly comic experiences in college, and the future describes his musing of what happened to the country from the Sixties up to the present day.
