About the Book

This is a personal account of living through the 60's, from high school to college, during one of America's most turbulent times. The story begins with personal tragedies echoing national ones, such as a friend's fatalistic entry into the Army, and my own father's death, just prior to his next job, in Vietnam. It chronicles the road to drugs, radical politics, and unrequited love. Finally it deals with my own descent into madness, due to events that overtook many young people of the time. It deals with the eternal struggle between the left and the right, as well as the wrenching choices each generation must make, as a result.
