Embedded in this genreless "book about nothing" is a 2004 enraged reenactment of the out- raged 1898 J'accuse, in which Zola's generalized naming of the unconscionable evil of anti-Semitism has been replaced by Dario's individualized naming of the unconscionable evil of the number-one terrorist currently at large in the universe, namely, George W. Bush. Whereas this book's obdurate resistance to classification can drive literary scholars only to apoplexied dishevel, desexied nihilists, unhexied misanthropists, enbrewered misogamists, and beskewered skeptics can only revel in its unleashed hostilities against the irremediable, irredeemable, irrepressible pastisched imbecilities of the human species.

Dominick Dario is a chimera. Like every chimera-like Gautama the Buddha, Jesus of Nazareth, the Man of La Mancha, the Abominable Snowman, the Big Bang, God-Dominick Dario is knowable only as hearsay. Its existence is transcendental, epistemological, meta- physical, metaphorical, linguistic, fictitious-up for grabs. Dominick Dario, in sum, is a genderless idea. Like God, it has no genital organs. Anom- alously nonetheless, God is a droll idea-is a comical chimera-fully equipped in the Jewish and Christian Holy Bible with a penis and two testicles. It can therefore be stated-I'm now brazenly here stating-that this genderless and chimerical book-about-nothing is "crazy."
