About the Author

As a child, Tonya Thibidaux displayed a prodigious ability to pose questions adults are afraid to ask, and are even more afraid to answer. Bored, she dropped out of high school in New Orleans and ultimately obtained her GED at the age of sixteen. She lives with her mother in a suburban Louisiana community where she waits tables and continues to write.
