About the Book
Lawrence Too-Late is is a very ordinary "Doodle", an imaginary species like humans, who lives a happy go life with his dog "Flea". His only problem is that he is very forgetful and this often gets him into scrapes. These are the sorts of problems that any child will recognise. The story tells how his friends come to his rescue by giving him a watch for his birthday. In short, it is a happy story of how important friends are in our lives. Nuances in the illustrations add to the fun.
