About the Book

The text of Take Off Your Shoes should be of great interest to everyone who is spiritually inclined. The book clearly shows the importance of the fundamental morality in each religion and, using quotations from each religion, outlines a commonality of values that all the major religions share. The text is also a rich source (one author/professor calls it a “gold mine”) of references for spiritual and religious writers, speakers, teachers and students. It uses quotes from many of the early writings as well as quotes from current adepts, revealing the similarity of precepts embraced by the major religions. It affirms for the readers that there is a valuable and common morality throughout the world’s major relilgions. While there are those in each faith that battle over the exclusive righteousness of their own religion, millions of people of faith lead quiet lives of tolerance and understanding, realizing that the God who is worshipped by all wants us all to love our neighbors and Live in peace. About the Author

Mr. Chadima has long been interested in the religions of the world. His thirty-year study of the subject has led to the creation of this book. He is an ordained elder in the Presbyterian Church USA where he served as a consultant on call to other churches. He has taught Adult Christian Education for many years. His strong belief in shared spiritual values has been demonstrated by his long-time participation in Jewish/Christian dialogue groups and his active role on the Board of Churches United. In that role he helped lead a group into a multi-faith organization which welcomes all religions.
