About the Book
THE CORE OF IT ALL (Self Actualization a component of principle) is a guide that provides the individual, family and community with several components of information, practices and self help tools that will assist them in establishing and strengthening a foundation of values that lead to positive behavior changes that are everlasting. The guide is very special in nature due to its daily, weekly and long term self application process. It is also special in nature because it is “individual to the Collective: and Collective to the Individual” With the respect to the Universal Natural Order of things, which ultimately dictates all behavior The Nguzo Saba (7 Afrikan Principles) is the basis for the Guide in establishing the foundation of values.
About the Author
Ms. McKenzie, reared on the Lower East Side of Manhattan , she is one of many children born to Hilda R.Williams.Hilda married David J. Mckenzie/Shockley. Having left home at an early age, the foundation had already been cemented in her mind as to what her endeavors were and she set out to accomplish them. When initially on her own, she encountered many of the same problems that face the people she has and continues to serve with pride. One goal was to own and operate her business; the second was to incorporate both her academic degrees, registered counseling certification, employment and life experiences and share this saturated knowledge with the community . Ms. McKenzie has excelled in many areas of the Human Services and Academic Fields. She has worked in the capacity of Interim Executive Director, Program Director, Social Worker, Family Associate and Substance Abuse Prevention Intervention Specialist. While maintaining a consistence in her services to the people she was one of the original persons present at the desecration of the New York City Afrikan Burial Ground. She continues to stay active conducting presentations and other outreach activities to individuals and communities regarding the Afrikan Blacks true local and global contribution to the world.
