About the Author

Dr. John Dunworth, or “Dr D,” summarizes his career as being a “partner in the process of building human beings.” He holds degrees from the University of California, Berkeley and his doctorate from the University of Southern California. He served as Director of the Department of Defense Dependents Schools for the Pacific and Far East, President of George Peabody College for Teachers, now part of Vanderbilt University, and in many other leadership roles. He is the recipient of the Secretary of Defense Medal for Outstanding Public Service and is well known as a public speaker and author.
