About the Book

I have only one wish. I wish there was no reason to write this book. When death takes a very young family member, the family rarely stays intact. My family is an exception to this documented standard.

On September 29, 1984, my precious little boy, Christian Dance, succumbed to brain cancer. In private I went bananas, just plain crazy, even as I was perceived to be the epitome of Christian faith, the stabilizing force that held grief at bay. The strength to care for my family came from my son’s promise that God would take care of us, and that He loves everyone in this world.

As new friends come into my life, I tell of my loss and use it to magnify God’s glory. Many years after his death I sat down and, in one day, wrote about Christian’s passing. This testimonial of hope has been read around the world because it is too wonderful to keep to one’s self. It is not about me or Christian. It is about God’s sustaining love which veils us with peace that surpasses all pain and sorrow. Still, I wish I never had a reason to write this book. Marsha Dance
