About the Book

Beneath Branches Hung With Stars, is a first collection of poetry by Marsha Jean MacDonald that is as inspired as it is carefully crafted. Spirited, romantic, philosophical, at times charmingly humorous, the author’s astute eye and gentle spirit draw forth vivid imagery and contemplative musings. From unique, insightful ponderings on life, to matters of romance and relationship, and, throughout, painting pictures with words, Beneath Branches Hung With Stars resonates with those who have heart, empathy, a love of nature and of life. It is a book that speaks along both quaintly romantic and starkly philosophical threads, to the soul and spirit of the reader.

About the Author

Marsha Jean MacDonald has had a love of words and writing since she was a child growing up in Illinois in the 1950’s. Encouraged when teachers throughout her schooling would choose her short stories or essays to be read aloud to class as examples of imaginative, evocative, or clever writing Marsha later pursued technical writing commensurate with her B.S in biochemistry and biomedical research career. A published coauthor on several research articles, and a member of SD/PEN (a San Diego based organization for editors, proofreaders, and writers), Marsha has now published her first book of poems, Beneath Branches Hung With Stars. Currently, she is at work on an epic, historic novel. It is her dream to write, to touch people’s hearts, minds and lives through words.
