About the Author

Art Saltz is a senior citizen, in his seventies. Born in the state of Wyoming, his family moved to Washington State when Art was five years old. Art’s father taught him how to Fly-fish in the mountains, and how to angle for salmon on Puget Sound. Art worked for a school district for fourteen years. Being around kids all that time, a few kids where concerned about the salmons. The question the kids had was; how do those salmon get to the sea, and back? Art decided to do some research on the Snake and Columbia rivers, and the dams on those rivers.
