About the Author

Gypsy West spent many years caretaking gold mines in the San Diego high desert until her conscience forced her to move to the city in order to actively protest the Vietnam War. She was a founding member of Bailey Flats, a thirty acre commune near Yosemite. Since her commune days, Gypsy has wandered the world, building alternative housing, and seeking the perfect man. She has now given up her search and lives happily and resolutely alone beside a creek in Southern California.
