About the Author
Jansenius T. Lange, Jr – Owner/Founder Self-Development Wisdom Institute® Jansensius “Tito” Lange, Jr. was born in 1955 in Port au Paix, Haiti, the fifth of seven children. Reared in a Christian family and environment, his father Jansenius Sr. was one of the foremost Baptist ministers in northwestern Haiti and offered a school and basic health clinic for rural villagers in the family home. There, Tito received primary schooling and at the Notre Dame du Perpetuelle Secours high school in town. At the age of thirteen, Tito enrolled at Notre Dame de Lourdes, the Catholic seminary in Port-de-Paix. He studied philosophy, psychology, and sociology, but primarily the wisdom of spiritual understanding for the next nine years, with consent and encouragement from his father, who believed that these studies would lead Tito to follow his exact footsteps into religious ministries. Of his father, Jansenius Sr., he states: “He was a great leader of human beings all of his life. He devoted his entire existence to developing, practicing and teaching millions of his fellow men and women -- members of his church ministries -- the special system of self- development education that he and my mother themselves practiced all throughout their lives. My father was very successful in helping others to understand their own individual energy and purpose, as individual human beings. He was greatly missed when he passed on in 1997. “ From the age of seven through his teens, Tito was deeply absorbed in studying, understanding and exploring human and spiritual energy’s existence and universal wisdom. His first twenty-two years were devoted to practicing the spiritual and intellectual life style of his father and other spiritual mentors by day, and by night leading one of the top rock bands in Haiti. Despite his upbringing, he is not religious-minded, but instead has respectful understanding of many forms of religions from around the globe as supportive in conveying the benefit, qualities and importance of spiritual life style practice. He moved to New York City in 1977 and began the long process of teaching himself English and adapting to life in the United States. By 1981, he had relocated to Maryland where he established and built a successful house painting business, with numerous clients from among the ranks of renowned leaders and influencers of society as well as foreign and domestic policy. Though traveled through many paths, his spiritual and human energy wisdom studies and teaching were uninterrupted. In the early 1990’s he was introduced to the Wells Robertson Home, a non- profit organization that offered transit housing for recovering drug and alcohol-addicted individuals. He was warmly welcomed as a volunteer counselor and instrumental in creating projects to expose each student to universal wisdoms that helped the reinvention of their minds and lives. While he worked at the home, the recovery success rate was 63.8%, the highest in the nation. In 1991, he served as Marketing Director for the Gaithersburg, MD Chamber of Commerce where he cultivated membership and Chamber involvement in community activities to further expose its presence in all business and social affairs of the city. Through affiliation with Chamber colleagues, he initiated and helped found Character Counts, https://charactercounts.org/, an acclaimed national, and now, international, educational program for elementary school children which emphasizes the “Six Pillars of Character”. Realizing at its premise that these same children would soon become teenagers and would need much higher human-development wisdom education, he immediately broke away from that project and began envisioning and creating a plan for self-development wisdom education for teens. In 1993, he approached Mr. Bill Clinton, then President of the United States, whom he directed sincerely when saying that spirituality was his best reference in making decisions. Former President
