About the Book

While working as a reporter at a weekly newspaper in his rural-Maine hometown, Ben Hutchins started a mostly-weekly column about whatever came to mind. The award-winning Off the Top of My Head went on to be one of the paper´s most popular features. Collected here for the first time are 80 of the 81 columns that ran under his byline during his tenure with the Katahdin Times, covering subjects ranging from the trials of attending a friend´s wedding to the strange quirks of the great American supermarket.

About the Author

Benjamin D. Hutchins has worked as a computer support tech, a network operations grunt, an Internet name administrator, and a reporter, but he was a writer all the while. He now lives in darkest Maine with several incomplete manuscripts and a beagle who snores.
