About the Author

Jack Walters came from an underworld family. After graduating from a good college and winning several medals in Vietnam, he was headed for a life of honest success. Instead he followed the old family tradition and went into the underworld, Over a twenty year period, he stole millions of dollars for organized crime bosses. He became well known to law enforcement agencies like the FBI, IRS, Dept. of the Treasury, Department of State. He has files in 20 FBI offices and is well-known to the organized crime strike force of the US Department of Justice. He branched out into international crime. He amassed large files at Interpol in Paris and on five continents. He was sentenced to over 19 years in prison and served 8 years in custody. He also won some incredible court battles over the years including dismissal of a major theft case in the state of Maryland after his mistress turned state's evidence against him, dismissal of a 50-year in prison racketeering case, and an 11-month court battle in South Africa where he faced 15 years in prison and got off with a light sentence. His greatest court victory came in 1996 in US District Court in Houston, Texas. Prosecutors from the organized crime strike force attempted to get Jack sentenced to life in prison. Through adroit court room work, he walked out with an effective five month sentence.
