As a small child, Mr. Swann believed in Santa Claus, but his fertile and malleable young mind was channeled instead toward Catholicism. However, his independent inquiries revealed the hypocrisy and dishonesty of all organized religions, and after much soul-searching, Swann renounced the entire concept. His life-long spiritual quest led him to the values of humanism, embodied in the churche of Santa. There he found a loving and compassionate leader he could respect. Mr. Swann, who resides in Arizona, is a graduate of Marquette University and earned a Masters degree from UCLA.
