About the Author

Keith Hopwood started writing his first book called ALISTAIR’S WORLD shortly after the end of the millenium celebrations in Chile at the start of the 21st Century. This first book was all about East Africa during the transition from Colonial rule to Independent rule some ten years after the Second World War. He decided to turn it into a trilogy in 2005 to include Alistair’s travel adventures in many other parts of the globe. He was educated at Bingley Grammar School in Yorkshire and later at Bradford Institute of Technology where he met his German wife Doris. After completing his compulsory National Service in the Royal Air Force, he began his civil career with International Aeradio helping to develop electronic navigational aids and communications in remote areas of the world. He later joined GEC of England and Page Communications in the USA as Export Sales Manager and finally rejoined the GEC to specialize in the sale of guided missiles for the defense of the Western alliance. Keith Hopwood is now retired and lives in Wiltshire England near the RAF station where he used to train personnel on electronic systems during the Korean War. He hopes to, with the encouragement of his is wife Doris, to continue writing other novels about global travel.
