About the Book
This collection of poems and writings are a reflection of my experiences as an African American male growing up and maturing during the 60s and 70s. During the course of my life, I have determined that the ability to express one’s feelings in words is a great source of personal comfort.
I just want the readers to be comfortable: with themselves, with the world, and with me.
About the Author
Biography Walter Watson, M.Ed, was born in Richmond, VA, in 1947. He was educated in the Public Schools of Prince George County, VA, and Petersburg, Va. A Vietnam era veteran, he is an undergraduate of the University of Tennessee school of Business, and received a Master’s Degree from the University of Mary Washington School of Education. Walter began writing poetry and essays after a stint in the military from 1968 to 1973. He fancies himself a romantic, and chooses to see the beauty of the human experience as it relates to the everyday affairs of people. Too frequently, he surmises, people look for the right person rather than assume responsibility for being the right person. His passion for publishing has been encouraged by his lovely wife, Dr. Thelma Bland Watson.
