About the Author

Miss Shapiro has been writing children´s stories for 11 years. She started writing them when she started teaching. She wrote her first early childhood book to help her first graders learn to read. Miss Shapiro has always enjoyed drawing, poetry, singing, and painting. She loves to incorporate these into her books. By getting to know her early childhood audience, she was able to create books that helped them to learn to read and write creatively and have fun as well. Her students loved to become the characters in the stories she wrote and enjoyed making plays and working on small activities based on her books in the classroom. By using vibrant colors, and interactive activities in her books, her students grew to appreciate her craft.
