About the Author

Marcia B. Tager (1930-2004) was born and raised in Brooklyn New York, and earned degrees from the University of Wisconsin and Columbia University. She long lived in Tenafly New Jersey, where with her husband she raised six boys. She published thirty short stories, and wrote another sixty beyond those. She also reviewed books for various publications. One of her stories won the Victoria Chen Haider Literary Award, another was anthologized in Shaking Eve’s Tree, and she won two fiction writer grants from the New Jersey State College of the Arts.
