About the Author
About the Author Rev. Martin has an extensive background in music, recreation and pulpit ministries. He is a member of the International Association of Counselors and Therapists, the Storytellers Guild of NC, the Writer’s Guild of Davidson County, and is published in several magazines. Jim received his education at the University of High point, NC (Church Music), Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth, Tex. (Masters in Religious Education,) and completed the Master of Divinity requirements at the Duke Divinity School, Durham, NC; Oxford Graduate School, Dayton, Tenn. (Doctorate in Recreation/Adolescence and Self-Esteem). Dr. Martin is presently serving the First United Methodist Church in Lexington, NC as a part-time/retired Associate Pastor. He and his wife, Loretta of 44 years reside at high Rock Lake, Lexington, NC.
