About the Author
Author born during the end of the Hoover Administration. From High School into the newly formed branch or service, the United States Air Force in 1950. Graduated from Radio School and became an Airborne Radio Operator in 1951. Graduated from Electronic Countermeasures School in 1952, flew seven Combat Missions over North Korea in 1953. Became an Airborne Gunner in 1961, begin flying Combat Missions over North Vietnam in 1965. Recalled for Airborne Radio Operator, flying aboard EC-121R out of Thailand. Between the B-52’s and EC-121R; flew a total of two hundred and forty three Combat Missions over North Vietnam. Cross trained into the Open Mess Career Field in 1971, and retired after twenty-six years of service. Accomplishments: 5 Air Medals, Combat Crewmember aboard B-29’s, B-36’s, B-47’s and B-52’s.
