About the Book

This book is written and dedicated in memory of Ryan Alan Fox, my nephew, who died in a car accident on September 4, 2005. Ryan left behind three young daughters, who have found a way to keep him an important part of their lives. At the gravesite following his funeral, they released balloons in the air and established a continual means of communication with their father. They believe, like so many other young children, that Daddy receives all their balloons in heaven. This is a fictional story about Abbie believing that Daddy really lives in heaven and how Mommy helps her understand a concept of massages being sent back and forth between here and heaven. With the help of two angels, Hark and Herald, who were given names from an inspirational message delivered by Pastor John Chesser, Mommy tries to give meaning to the question, how does Daddy get all the balloons in heaven? Genesis 28:12 “And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.”

About the Author

Rhoda Mazerolle is a first-time children’s book author. She feels that inside all of us is a part of creativity placed there by our Creator but realizes that very few ever find a way to express that creativity. Through divine inspiration—along with years of experience working with therapeutic foster children, helping raise a severely special-needs grandson, and the loss of family loved ones—she was inspired to create a book series Hello! Are You There? Upon receiving a confirmation of a heart drawn by an angel, she began to receive strong inspirations of the book series. Heavenly Balloons is the first book released in the series, with the promise of many more to follow. Because of several family losses, with the major loss being her nephew who left behind three young daughters, the series was inspired for the sole purpose of helping those who have been “left behind.” Mrs. Mazerolle hopes that the series of books will bring you and your family members (the young and old alike) some part of contentment and peace as you too struggle with the loss of your family and loved ones.
