About the Book

These poems were written in the years 1972-2007, many written in ’73 and ’74, when Ms. Blake was working as editorial assistant to Max Dunbar at the first Polar Oceans Conference held at McGill University (May 1974).

About the Author

Joan Blake, a former model and actress, is a playwright and poet. She lived in Montreal and North Hatley, Québec for many years and was co-founder of The Double Hook, an all-Canadian bookshop in Montreal. She now lives in North Carolina. Ms. Blake is a member of the Dramatists Guild of America.
