My Brother and Me

About the Book

This book is an intimate look into a younger brother’s emotions of what it is like living with a brother who has autism spectrum disorder. The emotions include the ones everyone feels: happy, mad, sad and scared. This book also includes a self-discovery section for other children to fill-in-the blank of their own lives and situations. Helping everyone realize that they are not alone and you can always find the positive side of life.

About the Author

Brandy Hickerson is married to her supportive husband Sherman and is the mother of Ty and Sloan. She is blessed each day to see love overcome the hardships of Autism Spectrum Disorder. Brandy enjoys working with children who have a disability and their families. She describes her current career as inspiring, never boring and heart-warming. Brandy and her family live in Southeast Oklahoma.
