About the Author

About the Author Billy Brown grew up in a then small Tennessee town in the 1930’s and 1940’s. William Brown served in the army, earned a Ph. D., his dissertation involving both literature and psychology, and taught in Quinnipiac University’s English Department. His course offerings spanned American literature, writing, linguistics, logic, and interdisciplinary courses including Religion and Literature. He had a postdoctoral fellowship in Yale’s linguistics department, sponsored Quinnipiac’s intercollegiate debate society, coauthored a writing textbook, and published articles and delivered papers mostly in informal logic and critical thinking. Bill Brown has been an active member of Christ Episcopal Church since 1978.
