About the Book

“Crime seems to run in our family,” warns Mary Dullahan the elder of the two sisters before she marries Robert. The younger sister, idealistic Eris, is the first of her family ever to go to college. The time is the sixties. The country is in turmoil and divided over Vietnam. Eris joins the antiwar movement and, eventually, becomes a Ground Hog, a group dedicated to the violent overthrow of the U.S. government. She robs banks, shoots it out with the police, and is forced to go underground. Twenty-five years later, she reappears at her mother’s funeral. She meets the misfit niece, Rose, who, with her friends, struggles to make their way in a hostile world. Events come together to make Mary’s words prophetic.

About the Author

Thomas was born in Philadelphia. He has lived in New York and New Orleans before returning to Philadelphia. He is married. RAGE is the first of four novels designed to explore the crucial issues of the late twentieth century and the new century.
