Book Review>

"Cha’s first volume of an epic adventure series concerns Vyro, a boy embarking on a journey to discover his path in life. Presented as a detailed graphic novel, Vyro’s journey hits an early hurdle when he gets rejected from the army. The meek youngster meets with a recruiter who dismisses him as being “nothin’ but bones.” But coincidence finds knightly warrior, Ekin, in search of a candidate for his team. He picks Vyro, and the teenager eagerly agrees to become part of the squad. Under the tutelage of Vyn, Vyro adapts to his military responsibilities but is especially fascinated with Ekin’s workouts to heighten his sword skills. Here the author, who also provides the illustrations, exhibits his best artwork. Sweeping action panels give life to the characters, especially Ekin. The warrior’s armor and muscles are well defined and his body bursts forth in his costume via black ink. During their trek, the troop encounters many enemies, including ogres, demons and evil supernatural beings, but dispatches them with vicious swordplay. Ekin is determined to defeat Omega, a powerful and horrifying demon “who rivaled the mightiest of Gods.” Cha’s effort is extensive as the author’s style is patterned after manga works. As the illustrations are only black, white and gray, given the violence and semi-nudity, this work is best suited for older graphic-novel fans.
An intriguing graphic novel" - Kirkus

About the Author

This all began when a friend introduced Chirasan to a classic game of role playing. Unfortunately, though always for fun, the game always ends in a funny, yet unsatisfactory way, but still funny. Despite the unfortunate adventures, it inspired Chirasan to make one of his own. Instead of writing a novel, his love for drawing took over and created this collection of his artwork over the years. Chirasan Cha lives in his hometown in California, where he continues to conjure the next adventure for heroes to come.
