My name is Michelle L. Reid. I was born in the Island of Trinidad and Tobago. I came to America in 1991, to better my life. I never taught of becoming a poetry writer. But one day, as I was talking to a friend of mine. He asked me if I ever taught of writing poems. My response was no, then he said to me that I would make a good poetry writer. I never began writing until August 2004, when I wrote my first poem. And continued off and on, finally I finished my first book in April, 2007.
